Yeah, hinoki is soft but fast. Balsa is stiff and fast but soft. Very non-durable so used in core only. Limba/ayous are soft and nice feel for euro blades. Carbon is stiffer and "ping"-ee. Arylate, kevlar, and glassfiber can help muffle that. They basically reduce vibration and enlarge sweet spot. They dont add as much speed as carbon. |
