I've played with Globe 999Super with the Goldway sponge. Great stuff, excellent for both looping, chopping, and pushing. I used a combination very similar to what you are talking about for several months on a Matsushita Pro blade. I don't care what anybody says -- this blade is FAST for something supposed to be for defense. It's also heavy with Chinese rubber on it, but with thin-sponged Destroyer on one side it might not be so bad. Personally, I'd still use the 3D Extra with the Globe and the Stiga.
