I played with the Japsko Off/Def, it's a good blade for active defense, because you have a good control with BH and the FH is fast enough to counterattack. Now I play with the Kameo Kombination, another combi blade, which has a faster FH but with enough control, and is better balanced (it feels lighter than the Japsko, but it has almost the same weight). I play sometimes active defense, but my style is bloxking close to the table. I play with Globe 999 1,8 mm on FH and Palio CK-531A OX on BH. The Globe in 1,8 mm is a little bit too fast for defense, so maybe it will be better to take it in 1,5 mm, or in the Elite model (with soft sponge).
