| A second day with the new untuned hard sponge sheet shows that it played less well on Tuesday than it did on Monday. I will remove it, stretch is a bit by hand, and reglue it with Free Chack and some stretching helps. Attackers from the pre-speed glue era may be a good source of knowledge on how people used to break in rubber sheets. I seem to remember some comments that it takes a month to break in a sheet. If so, then it may make sense to go back to the old method of buying sponge and topsheet separately and replacing topsheets regularly. |
