With the integrated D.TecS effect in Tibhar's classical long pimples rubber, the player will experience new variations to cut the ball and to counter his opponent’s destabilising strokes. Thanks to the integrated tension in the pimples and the sponge, the pimples get softer, which enables the player to cut the ball in a sensational way. However, because of the softness of the rubber, the D.TecS effect provides amazing control plus enough speed to destabilize the opponent with nervous aggressive shots during disturbing attacks at the table. Note: Several years ago, the no sponge (OX) version of Tibhar Grass DTecS came with a glue backing as part of the rubber. This rubber is no longer made this way -- there is no sticky backing on this rubber. There are Butterfly Glue Sheets available for purchase separately, which are recommended for applying all no-sponge rubbers, including Tibhar Grass DTecS OX rubber. Type: Long Pips (without sponge)

I bought this overrated rubber, hoping it would be better than Dragon's Talon. Unfortunately, the price is not justified, as Talon is more versatile and easier to play with. As for the spin reversal and deception, I haven't felt a significant difference between the 2 rubbers. D'Tecs might have a slightly better reversal, but it also breaks like paper. Removing it from the blade if glued with anything stronger than cheap paper glue would most likely destroy it.
For the price of a D'Tecs, you can get 3 Dragon's Talon. Whoever says D'Tecs is the best long pips rubber available should try Talon, which seemed to me springier and faster than D'Tecs. This makes it more dangerous, as it doesn't leave the opponent much time to react. Durability is also excellent for Talon. I've had one for about 10 years and it's still in great shape.

I played initially with DMS Spinfire, Flashback and Andro Blowfish but were fast rubbers. I wanted to go slower and wanted to see shots with disruption. A friend recommended Tibhar Dtechs and fell in love with it. Great disruptioin and reversal are big factors in my game and it is fast enough fo me to stab my opponent when needed. This is my main weapon.

I have trouble to get back hits from high skilled attacking players from which spin or/and speed are impossible to manage (but maybe that's due to no sponge rubber).
