Yasaka Ma lin extra special has a great feeling, more suited for the player who likes to control the game and speed of the ball. excels with blocking and returns, however, maybe due to wood composition and at 7 ply, the attacking, rather than the defensive control game can leave you open. The arc produced on the ball during controlled attacking play is quite high and the sweet spot is very powerful. Therefore, playing with Yasaka Ma-Lin extra special at medium range from the table is excellent. No problems with control.
My first 7ply wood blade. Solid fell with nice built quality. Speedy blade but controllable. I pair wtih rakza 7 on bh which I found it best for my bh : top spin and block counter, decent chop too. Fh palio ak47 red sponge. Nice combo. Love the wooden feel of it. Although lil' head heavy but it make my stroke getting better. Push and touch play was nice and manageable. Overr all it's owesome blade...
