FAQ: Does Megaspin sell Japan-made Butterfly blades?
Some Butterfly blades like Korbel and Grubba are produced in factories both in Europe and in Japan, so they exist in 2 variants. When a Japanese blade has a Europe-made version, we always carry the Japanese variant. Other blades like Butterfly Timo Boll Offensive are only made in China so we cannot carry a Japanese variant of these blades.
FAQ: Do Butterfly blades come pre-sealed?
All Butterfly blades come pre-sealed from the factory. There is no need to add blade sealing but you may if you require additional protection.
Professional racket assembly is offered on several racket combinations free of charge. Please add a blade and 2 rubber sheets to the shopping cart to activate the racket assembly option on your cart. For more details see Racket Assembly FAQ.
You may also select ready-made rackets and pre-selected combos from our rackets section.

Mine 94g. I buy Japan version Jttaa. Good quality blade nice finishing. No need lacquer sealing but 1 thin layer clear colour spray paint just fine. 1mm wider than viscaria.

Great blade even by modern standards. This is the blade I've started with 10 years ago and just purchased another one a couple of months ago. Amazing control and limbs plies provide really good dwell time and spin. This is also one of the fastest if not the fastest 5 ply all wood blade I've tried (mine is European, apparently Japanese version is even faster). I play with DHS Gold arc 8 H50 on both sides and I think these are a great match for this blade. This doesn't replace my 2 main blades (DHS Long 5 and Stuor Nobilis) but when I don't play tournaments/competitions or play in tight spaces this is my go to blade. Only complaint is that it vibrates a bit too much for my liking - could be enough to throw you off sometimes so it's not the most direct of blades. Still for the price definitely give it a try. It plays well with Chinese rubbers too but I'd stick to ESN/Butterfly tensors like Gold Arc 8 or tenergy 05. A friend of mine has this blade with Rozena and he's also able to be competitive with such relatively inexpensive setup. Blocks and flat shots are good but to be really competitive you need to loop a lot and be active. As a bonus when I was testing 5 blades with my coach he said my shots with this blade had overall second best spin (second to Long 5 with H3 National blue sponge H41), better than Viscaria with D09C - this rubber alone costs almost as much as entire setup of Korbel + 2x GA8!

Its a good blade with great feel, you can control the ball very well with it and can produce spin easily when attacking. However, one thing I've noticed is that it does not pair well with harder rubbers, it becomes uncontrollable and hard to attack consistently. Speed is average, nothing too crazy.

Intermediate level blade. All rounder. Haven’t used it for any tournaments. But mainly it depends on technique.
